Tanaya Walters, Ed. D. is an Emotional Intelligence Specialist and the CEO of TW Enterprise Group, LLC. Through coaching, consulting and training, Dr. Walters’ boutique business specializes in helping individuals and organizations improve their emotional social capital to impact results and maximize their performance. Prior to the start of TW Enterprise Group, Dr. Walters spent over two decades working in Higher Education. She has helped colleges and universities enhance the student experience, positively impact student retention outcomes and improve organizational efficiencies. Dr. Walters has expertise in the areas of strategic planning, organizational development, change management, performance management, coaching, consulting, training and facilitation.
Dr. Walters holds a Doctor of Education in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University. She has a Master of Science degree in Managerial Technology and Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, both from Johnson & Wales University. Dr. Tanaya Walters holds a coaching certification in EQ-i 2.0 and EQ-i 360. She is a frequent lecturer and has shared her wealth of knowledge on specific topics to include: personal and professional organization; leadership development; college advising and transition support for students and parents; first-generation college student support; and college student development.
When not offering coaching and consulting assistance, Dr. Walters spends her spare time volunteering for local causes that benefit her community. She has served as a Board Member for the Greater Charlotte YMCA and for Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts & Culture in Charlotte. She is passionate about mentoring young adults and helping individuals achieve college completion. Her most recent volunteer experience includes serving as an image consultant and guest lecturer for the Dress for Success. Dr. Tanaya Walters is a graduate of Leadership Charlotte and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Leadership Institute. She also holds several certificates from the Center for Creative Leadership.
